I'm Baaaaaack

Vacation was great. Had some good weather and some great weather. Drank wine, ate great food and laughed a lot. Wandered all the way to Oliver one day drinking wine and enjoying the scenery. Sat around the beachfront condo reading for a day. Saw Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton. Shopped, ate great food and enjoyed just being with J.

Just at peace.

Another fine weekend over. Heh, a heck of a fine week. Lots of curling, lots of snuggles, and a few walks in the cold. I spent some time with my curling team, realizing how much they've become friends to me. It was off the ice time, but only slightly removed as we sat and watched the curling from the 3rd and 14th rows. I decided to spend the week at J's because it only made sense. A tiny little practice week sort of. And, should the weather have held, it was a decent walk to and from the coliseum. Meh, I still walked it a few times.

There was that morning J and I overslept and he dropped me off for the curling. I walked home that night - fighting with my shoelaces and freezing my fingers. The next morning, I again overslept, but chose to walk rather than drive to a train station. Would be about the same amount of time anyway. Lunch with T after the haircut on Thursday. I'm not sure she really liked the haircut. It does take some getting used to, I suppose. J loved it though.

A drive to SK in the morning on Friday. T and T took off running and playing as soon as we let T out of the car. The ride home was pleasantly quiet with only the sounds of puppy snoring coming from the back. Last night, T just collapsed on his bed and was done. He'd barely move when you came in the room.

The kite was a hit - in the house. Once outside, C would rather go find a tractor or a truck to play on. The greenhouse is in full swing and we spent a few hours in there. It's work, but it's so relaxing for me, and J agreed. The smell in the greenhouse is fabulous. And all that fresh air and physical labour meant great sleeps. That and his arms wrapped around me.
